Republican minority leader Kevin McCarthy points an accusing finger at U.S. President Joe Biden, saying mistakes and weaknesses he demonstrated led Putin to invade Ukraine without fear.
McCarthy is currently touring Israel, along with 30 new congressmen from his party.
In an exclusive interview with Israel Today, he claims that "if a republican government were currently in power, the current crisis in Ukraine would not have taken place."

According to McCarthy, one of Biden's most prominent rivals in American politics, it is no coincidence that the two Russian invasions of Ukrainian territory took place under democratic governments.
"Both times they were under democratic rule.
